These idiots on the phone should be banned from driving for life I have been rear ended three times now by believe it or not female drivers on the phone one actually told the person she was calling oh my god I have just gone into the back of a car so fair play to you for reporting her. Thank god it was the back of my vehicle and not a pedestrian crossing the road between the vehicles, I did notice the silly cow jolt forward at one point. I am a semi retired driver and the vehicles in the fleet didn't have Bluetooth yet my boss constantly moaned that i didn't answer the phone (A) I am driving (B) its an offence (C) leave a message.

I love it when some idiot pulls that MGIF and ends up behind me. Watching videos of truckers and having a kid that drives one has made me much more aware of their need for space on turns. I've held back on a dual turn so the trucker didn't have to worry about invading my lane with me in it...makes sense to me.

I'm 66 years old and passed my motorcycle test in 1975, and car test in 1977. When I was under instruction, I was told that if you pulled out into lane 2 or 3, and failed to pass the vehicle in front, within 30 seconds, or half a mile, you were leaving yourself open to a charge of "Driving without consideration towards other road users". This was a useful "catch all" offence, that included splashing pedestrians or cyclists by driving through a puddle, or holding up other drivers by taking too long over a parking or turning manoeuvre. It should be brought back! This week I had two drivers performing 3 point turns in front of me 20 yards apart!

5:50 I could be wrong, but I don’t think the middle lane counts as a take over lane. The middle lane is usually the neutral lane, and you still have the far right (far left in U.S.) to overtake. If it had 4 lanes then the two right lanes would be slower traffic and the two left lanes for faster passing vehicles. So, I don’t agree that the truck was lane hogging.

I worked at Gatwick Airport for a while on a hangar construction job. There was no internal bus service but we always had to attend meetings at the airport offices at the north terminal so we would get somebody to drop us off and pick us up. That will now cost £12 a meeting. And clients wonder why contractor's costs go up. And on the subject of using public tranport, I got fed up with a 60 mile commute around the M25 so I took the train changing in central London but the there was the problem of getting from Gatwick Station to the site. I got on the idea of using the shuttle bus to the long stay car park and then there was a 400 yard walk. Well that lasted about a week until the jobsworth wouldn't let me on the bus. The bus by the way was invariabley empty anyway. So sod it I went back to a 120 mile daily commute and stuff the environment.

BTW that rant about the m23 NOT being the m25 had me in stitches lmao!!!

Under Australian road laws, it is illegal to overtake a turning truck even if you have your own lane. The trucks also have this displayed on the back of the truck but the majority of Australian drivers don't abide by this law and get a major shock if they are involved in an accident where they overtook a turning truck, they have to pay for their own damage aswell as any damage to the truck along with any loss of Income to the truck driver and any damage to their load. Because the accident is classified as their fault, their insurance company can choose not to pay, so they must pay out of their own pocket, so overtaking a turning truck can cost your house and everything you own.

Talking about wrong roadsignes: Have you driven north along Wellesley Road, Croydon in the last few years? (Yes, of course you have). But have you ever spotted the signs and green arrows on the traffic lights at the junction with Poplar Walk? They indicate you can turn left. What they don't show as that Poplar Walk is a one way street - eastbound. But in all the years I've been to Croydon there's never been a 'no entry' sign at the exit to Poplar Walk itself. The arrows show you can turn sharp left, when actually you can only turn diagonally left (down St Michael's Road). Woe betide anyone who is a stranger to the town.

You took me back on some roads I had travelled many years ago. Beddington Lane for one, I used to go to Tulse Hill to pick up my daughter and Beddington Lane was my route to go home. Did you go to see the Chimneys come down in 1991 to make way for the Ikea site? I/we were there to see it. Then you pulled into Gatwick airport. I drove down there with some mates for a coffee and run out on Sunday August 7th the night after Brian London's fight with Cassius Clay. London was flying out to nurse his bruises; he did look a bit worse for wear. One of my mates saw London and said "Crap, no wonder he's got dark glasses on, Clay beat the living s**t out of him last night. One of London's minders must have heard him and this man mountain walked over and said "if you lot don't shut up I'll give you what Clay gave him and some. We decided that a nice quiet cup of coffee would end the evening... hahaha. There were no parking restrictions at all. I can't remember if departures were up the ramp or down, but sure as hell no £6 to pull up there.

As a former LGV Driver i wish drivers could read the road as well as you have. If I was driving the truck and i knew the corner well i would have positioned in the road to block lane 1 and 2 so i had the entire corner to myself. Some times you have to be a bit selfish because it`s the only way to keep Audi drivers safe.

When you turned into Epsom hospital the first building in front to the right of you don't know what it is now but in the 80 it used to be the nurses residence I know that coz I was going out with one of them. And you didn't have the one way system

On Gatwick airport. Yep, pay your £6. Then send a SAR to get all the details. Then a Right to be Forgotten Request, then another SAR to make sure they have obeyed the law. Easy to do with a set of emails. Remember, if you cost them, more than they cost you, they will stop.

@ 1:50 the van driver is deluded. Not only that needs to take a depth/distance perspective eye test. Not only that at 6:40 the women in the Peugeot...and she's one of those MGIF to$$ers. I find women have worse distance/speed awareness than men for some reason.
