It seems like everyone has a narrow field and a very short line of sight. It's like they live in a bubble. We're going through a mass psychosis.

I always shout: "Do I even exist to you?!" at these people who live in a bubble. They have a very narrow field of view and because they're always looking at the ground they don't see further than 2 meters ahead.

I remember cycling to school but i went the long route because it was quieter and to be honest just a few minutes longer and took you straight to the cycle shed without going through the main gates.

I'm starting to wish that very there was a separate DVLA License class for the likes of these Rage Rovers or Maybachs. These vehicles are almost as big as category Cs and are far too often driven by little people with an entitlement complex. Every place in the UK now has one mini roundabout (like that one of yours on West St/A232) where no one in a Rage Rover wants to give way. The problem is systemic now. People who want to drive these bigger vehicles should take an extended driving test which focuses on PSM and MSM. They're shit drivers because many of them are tiny and can barely see their mirrors let alone their blind spots.

Exactly the same as 6:20 happened to me - I had priority and had arrived at the chicane well before the cyclist; nevertheless he still thought that I should have stopped, not him, as when I passed him he spat at me - the glob hit my windscreen dead-centre, and I thought "that isn't the first time that you've done that, mate!"

re. 8:07 - 8:30 when I did Compulsory Basic Training for motorbike, I was taught that when filtering, you always do it on the right, so you're not in people's blind spot, and you always do it slowly (preferably in first gear), so people have plenty of time to see you coming - what the cyclist did was very stupid and potentially dangerous

The smoking van through Reigate has likely got an issue with the EGR valve. The MIL will be on, and it definitely wouldn't pass an MOT like that. If he continues to drive it, the DPF will also clog up, meaning an expensive repair.

But according to our wonderful Mayor, because that van is a 21 reg it is fully ULEZ compliant and doesn't ;pollute.

The reason the Mercedes was driving at 30mph is clearly because there's a red light at the roundabout with a queue. The driver has probably just taken his/her foot off the accelerator and using engine braking. There's no point in arriving early at the back of the queue using more fuel and then braking. It's better for the environment, saves fuel and the brakes.

14:36 about the "21 plate" observation, I don't know if this happens in the UK, but could it be that the current registration plate is 2021, but the van is older, e.g. a company van sold unregistered in 2021, or which had special company plates?

No forward planning or looking ahead and thinking 2 or 3 moves in front, there is a breed of driver nowadays who takes for granted that others will do the thinking for them because they are oblivious to their surroundings and they don't even realise it.
